Finally, a Place to House Thoughts, Interesting Tid-Bits, and Things I've Discovered Along The Way.

My musical/artistic springboard started out with a humble piano-keyboard at the age of 12; secluding myself in a room to get away from the boisterous Latin-American festivities my family would regularly indulge in every weekend. Having no musically-oriented family member for guidance, I found myself swimming in the liminality of musical creativity for what felt like years on end; having little sense of where I should be or even wanted to be in terms of technicality and skill. Combine that with the chip-tune synthesizer sounds of early video game consoles and a mom and dad who had an affinity for New Wave and Disco, and here we have the seedlings for what would hatch into later musical formations.

Somewhere along the way I also found Martial Arts, the visual arts, and cooking; blending them into some sort of philosophical amalgam of how to live a full and colorful life. The spectrum is traveled quite a bit; from pensive, stoic contemplations to celebrative, pagan exuberance (in the spiritual sense, anyway). And I suppose the same can be said in the realm of art experimentation.

This blog I hope serves not only as a little window into my own subjections in creativity (perhaps serving as a clever way to keep track of the slipping time), but also as a platform to explore other artists, writers, and creatives of many mediums and disciplines; a way of deepening my gratitude and appreciation of all those who share this experience with me.
